My name is Gaoly Naopao and my parents were war refugees in France, where I was born and raised for 14 years before immigrating to the United States. As a French American of Asian decent, I naturally collected a broad linguistic, cultural and visual library that have contributed to my understanding of human relations, work ethics and approach to art and design. Although I graduated with a bachelor's degree in product design, my professional career mainly dealt with designing booths for trade shows. My duties included working alone or in team settings comprising of people from various cultural backgrounds with a wide spectrum of skills, life experiences, aspirations, perspectives, age brackets, gender identities and personalities. Communicating with the sales department or directly with clients, I was expected to create appealing booth concepts in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines. The field of exhibition design helped me develop or refine skills in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Design Research, 3D Modeling, 3D Visualization, 3D Animation and some drafting. I am familiar with using 3DSMax, Vray, Corona Render, Google Sketchup, Adobe Suite, Procreate and Clip Studio Paint. I love continually learning about art and design and am always on the look out for new and better ways to improve and share my work. I also enjoy traveling, physically or through social media platforms, to grasp the world in all its perspectives and brilliancy. Thanks for dropping by. I hope you enjoyed my portfolio. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I'd love to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Gaoly Naopao
