Hugo Eccles

Hugo has over three decades of experience as a design director specializing in the conception, design, and development of consumer products and personal transport vehicles. He is also a Professor of Design with over 20 years of experience in the UK, USA, and Canada involving initiatives with Ford, Renault, Audi, and Ducati.

Hugo's career spans working at IDEO, Landor, Omnicom and others, working with clients including Nike, TAG Heuer, American Express, Hewlett Packard, and with automakers Ford, Stellantis, Chrysler, and Volkswagen.

In 2014 Hugo founded UNTLD MOTO in response to the nascent EV industry and the evolving transport landscape. UNTLD specializes in strategizing, designing and developing concept, prototype, and pre-production vehicles for startups, early-stage, and marquee brands including Ducati, Triumph, Yamaha, Zero, and Harley-Davidson.

Hugo's work has been published extensively in industry and lifestyle journals, featured on television, exhibited at worldwide events, and starred in Hollywood movies. In 2022, Hugo was one of a select “leading-edge EV designers” showcased at the Petersen Automotive Museum. He is regularly invited to talk about vehicle design and the future of transport.
