Julieta Gil

Julieta Gil (b.1987, Mexico City) is an artist based in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a Bachelors in Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MFA from the Design Media Arts program at UCLA.

Julieta's work incorporates both generic and iconic elements. Through analog and digital processes, she reprograms these elements, generating a new language that looks to reference familiar forms while also developing new discourses around them. She is interested in the overlapping that occurs when connecting the virtual world with the physical.
