L. Briana Mazzio

Lead product design on multiple consumer goods programs, with strong relationships with both marketing and engineers. Lead cross functional trend teams, conducting macro trend research and CMF (color, material, finish) forecasts for Rubbermaid product categories. Responsible for teaching new hires rapid visualization and advanced sketching techniques. I also began developing management skills by managing our summer ID intern.

My daily duties included leading multiple design programs simultaneously in Rubbermaid’s consumer kitchen, laundry, and home organization categories. I saw programs from upfront user research through to manufacturing and launch in the marketplace. During this time I was also highly involved with Rubbermaid's Trend forecasting team.

As an Associate Designer, I worked alongside lead designers to design products for Rubbermaid’s insulated, kitchen, and outdoor categories, though the majority of my efforts were developing a new product platform with our Advanced Technology team. I was also a member of the “DIG” (Discovery Innovation Group) which is an advanced consumer research team, employing empathic research techniques to arrive at design strategies for new product platforms.

During my internship I aided lead Industrial Designers on various programs while developing real world knowledge of manufacturing and corporate mechanics, and honing design skill sets.
