I TRULY enjoy the process of conceptual design. With a main interest in footwear, my background holds a variety of shoe design projects. Overall, I believe design & art is the foundation of all that you can physically see, smell, hear, taste or feel. I am highly interested in footwear design/manufacturing and shoe customization (hand painting/etc). I take note to pay very close attention to detail.

Recent professional experience: Assisting in multiple aspects of footwear design for brands such as Mountrek, Land's End, Zoo York and many other private labels.

    BIO

From a family of multi-talented individuals, Michael Cook Jr began to explore the arts at a very young age. He found his niche in 'design' when he discovered he could take the clay from the very ground and bring his inner thoughts into a 'reality.' Michael discovered Savannah College of Art and Design in high school and pursued his passion in Industrial Design. Inner going the experiences Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and PENSOLE Footwear Academy have offered him, Michael was and is able to continue his journey as a great designer.

    PHILOSOPHY

Design is everywhere. Design is in everything. Take a second to look around and 'observe' how this world operates. Now, 'rethink' your environment and begin to notice the thought process of every product, every experience, every way of life, and imagine it never existing. How does it look now? Interesting right? Strange? Well, design is what makes your life an 'experience,' and not just an inevitable timeline. Love Thinking. Love Creation. Love Design.
