Mike Silcher

As the primary designer for O'Neill Wetsuits surfing, wake boarding, and standup paddling categories I've been responsible for the annual product catalogs, ad concepts and execution for the marketing campaigns, seasonal hangtags, and interior/exterior point of purchase displays for the brand. I work one-on-one with the VP of Marketing Communications, and directly with our Production Manager for scheduling and tasking assignments to the creative staff. I use photographers and other outside vendors as needed to meet all deadlines and produce top-level imagery/branding.

As the lead designer at Bay Photo, I was brought on board to rebrand and raise the visibility of one of the top professional photo labs within the US. I spearheaded a diverse variety of projects spanning from initial concept creation, to final execution applying to magazine advertisements, cohesive branding and displays for multi-scaled trade show exhibits, promotional product catalogs and flyers.

Projects spanned from initial concept to collaborating, to final execution including magazine advertisements, billboards, in-store signage, branding, packaging, catalog layout, logo variations, trade show displays, promotional materials for events.

• Archival Project: Scanned old photos of the O'Neill Wetsuit legacy: historical personal and business photos from the early 1950s. Digitized the Historical Pictorial Collection, labeled and created Archival Image Bank.
• Spring and Fall Wetsuits Product: Digitizing product to allow dealers to have a full color range of current product.
