Prajakta Bamanikar

As Postgraduate from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, with a Masters degree in Industrial Design I have undertaken several positions within leading organizations such as VIP Industries and Tata Motors. These placements have enabled me to develop not only specific industry experience, but also a valuable and transferable skill set in Design sector.

During placement with VIP Industries, I worked in the Product Design division contributing to projects – such as the Verve; an Voted product of the year award in Luggage Category in the year 2012– and managed my own research, design and development of over 25 design ranges in various sub brands.

After joining Automotive Multinational Company Tata Motors in the year 2012 as a Color and Trim Lead, I had a grand opportunity to work on DNA of color and trim for passenger vehicle department with London based design firm Forpeople.

I was accounted for designing and developing Exterior C&T based on DNA for recently launched Zest and Bolt.

Utilizing excellent communication skills through design, I developed and maintained successful working relationships with internal pears and external vendors.

With more than 5 years of experience in product design, C&T and the manufacturing industry, I am passionate about a challenging job to apply my design skills, utilize my imagination and work towards the task of converting those forces into a concrete form as a new and purposeful addition to the real world.
