My name is Sebastiano Vitale, an Italian civil engineer born on October 27, 1987, with a multidisciplinary background combining technical-engineering skills, artistic training, and hands-on experience in both design and implementation.
After attending an art high school, where I specialized in painting techniques, freehand drawing, perspective, and technical drafting, I pursued my academic studies at the University of Naples Federico II, earning a degree in Civil Engineering.
From high school through university, I collaborated with architects and engineers, actively contributing to different phases of design—from conceptual planning to detailed and executive development, including technical drawings and project documentation. After graduation, I gained valuable experience in the public and private tendering process, working on the preparation of technical and administrative documents for infrastructure and building projects.
Motivated by a passion for nature and landscape architecture, I moved to Switzerland, settling in the Canton of Zurich, where I began my professional path in the green construction sector. I worked for several years as a professional gardener, gaining in-depth knowledge of landscape construction techniques such as planting, natural stonework, drainage systems, irrigation, paving, and dry-stone wall building.
With a good knowledge of German and Swiss German (Schweizerdeutsch), I advanced to the position of team leader, expanding my practical and operational experience within green construction sites.
I am currently employed as a landscape designer at Parc’s Gartengestaltung, a company specialized in the design and construction of gardens and green spaces, and a partner of the renowned Swiss firm Egli Jona, a leader in landscape architecture. I am responsible for the technical, aesthetic, and functional design of residential gardens and public outdoor spaces, overseeing all aspects—from digital modeling and lighting design to plant selection and material detailing—aiming to deliver sustainable, harmonious, and innovative environments.
I use tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, and Lumion to develop 3D models, photorealistic renderings, and architectural animations that help communicate and visualize the final outcome even before execution.
I continue to stay up to date with developments in sustainable landscape design, environmental efficiency, urban green infrastructure, and digital tools that support and enhance the design process.
