I lead the strategic and operational direction of the industrial design organization, ensuring that design is a catalyst for innovation, business growth, and long‑term brand equity. I define the product geometry strategy, establish design governance frameworks, and guide the creation of multi‑year innovation plans that support enterprise priorities.

I oversee the full lifecycle of design‑led product development—from early research and concept generation to stakeholder alignment and customer‑facing presentations. My work integrates rigorous testing, ergonomic analysis, sustainability exploration, and competitive benchmarking to ensure our solutions meet both market needs and operational realities.

I build and manage a high‑performing design ecosystem by mentoring emerging talent, expanding external design partnerships, and ensuring the department’s tools, workflows, and technology standards support world‑class output. I also collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering, marketing, and sales to drive alignment and accelerate decision‑making.

Externally, I represent the design function in strategic customer engagements, presenting innovation concepts and capability narratives that strengthen relationships and expand business opportunities. Internally, I champion a culture of creativity, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This role allows me to shape the organization’s design vision, elevate its innovation capabilities, and ensure that design plays a central role in driving future growth.

Using the discovery phase which includes, research, benchmarking, ethnography, ergonomics and synthesizing this data to move to the best solution * Developing ideation sketches and quick mock ups to fail fast that leads to the best solution to move forward into higher fidelity prototypes. * Build prototypes that convey VBL and surface / form language. Traditional and Digital tools for sketching and prototyping utilized.
