Founded and led Primer Studios, a Los Angeles-based product development firm, intertwining product experience, brand identity, and user-driven storytelling. Ensured every interaction—from physical design to interface elements—was intuitive and engaging. Developed and launched over 20 award-winning products by integrating iterative design, UX principles, systems thinking, and deep customer insights to create highly functional and engaging user experiences. Led cross-functional collaboration with engineering, marketing, and business teams to drive successful go-to-market strategies.

      Notable products:
+ MainGear MG_1 Gaming Computer and Re-brand (2021) – led the UX and systems strategy for a seamless gaming experience, ensuring intuitive interaction across hardware and software components. Repositioned Maingear as an industry leader through integrated design frameworks that connected interface design, industrial aesthetics, and brand storytelling.

+ Beast Health’s B10 Blender – designed an intuitive product ecosystem, including the physical product interface, user interaction model, and packaging, simplifying engagement through ergonomic controls and user feedback mechanisms. Helped establish Beast Health as a premium brand by ensuring a holistic, systems-driven product experience.

As a companion brand, Primer Artifact focuses on in-house manufacturing guided by the philosophy: “Use forever and pass it down.” This ethos shaped durable, timeless designs like the P-42 Surround Sound Gaming Headphones, Open_1 Machined Brass Bottle Opener, and the Ta:kin RC Rock Crawler. Primer Artifact bridges design with manufacturing, offering firsthand insights into the complexities of bringing products to market—an experience I share with clients.

Earlier in my career, I honed my skills by contributing to projects for globally respected brands such as: Alessi, Mattel, Marvel, and Rancilio, while working with renowned agencies like: Sowden Design, Studio Red, and 3D Industrial Design. These roles offered invaluable exposure to cutting-edge design practices, rapid prototyping, and collaboration with internationally acclaimed teams, laying the groundwork for my expertise in creating impactful and innovative solutions.

    • Jr Designer
      Sowden Design Associates
      2000 - 2000
Sowden Design was my introduction to the Memphis Group and one of the early members, George Sowden. I participated on multiple programs including Rancilio and Alessi. George championed what he called a "humanistic" approach to design, and based design direction of objects as artifacts. Tragically, the downturn in economy ended my stay in Milan and experience with the talented crew of designers and artists. Since 2010 George and the studio have concentrated on producing their own line of housewares.
