MaterialMaterial is a micro manufacturer and web shop of modern everyday objects with a focus on handcraft and minimalist design. I created MM in the summer of 2013 out of my passion for objects that embrace simple functionality and artful fabrication.

My personal visual archive (500+ followers). I frequently search the web and print media for inspiring contemporary design projects. Curating keeps me up to date with current design trends and has given me a better understanding of the social media environment.

As an artist in residence I had the amazing opportunity to manage, design, and produce my own projects using the arsenal of creative tools available at Instructables.com headquarters in San Francisco. During my two month stay I explored traditional craft and emerging rapid prototyping technologies to create practical DIY projects for a growing web based maker community.

The custom frame shop at Michaels is a crucial, high volume business responsible for the majority of sales made by this national retailer. In my position I was consulted daily by walk in customers to create custom framing packages, while keeping up to date on frame shoppe production. During my employment I was awarded the first employee of the month award in my district and was frequently requested by return customers.

In this small consulting firm located in Philadelphia's Main Line district, I spent a few days a week contributing to product development through idea generation, rapid visualization, mockup building, and 3D CAD modeling. This was my first experience working under a lead designer.
