Prior to the launch of this collection, I was part of the team who designed Coach eyewear, and many other brands, during this period. Reed Krakoff was the design director for Coach at the time and was about to launch his own label bearing his name. Naturally, it came to our team to create a collection as part of the debut. The aesthetic was designed to be bold and and visually engaging to build awareness from the start. Chunky details mixed with bold eyeshapes were balanced against crystals and gradient acetate to balance out the proportions.
