Full-time student in the mechanical engineering program.

Process development, design, and prototyping on a wide variety of food production systems. I also manage and train people in the use of the R&D maker space.

Machining, fabrication, and design work out of my home shop during COVID.

I did set-up, programming, and operation of ultra-high precision diamond turning CNC lathes and inspection of microstructures using advanced metrology techniques involving interferometers, profilometers, and confocal microscopes.

I ran the prototype shop for the mechanical engineering product development department. Working with a team of 30-40 engineers and designers I made prototypes and fixtures using CNC & manual machining, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, and a variety of other techniques. In addition, I did CAD design using SolidWorks, as well as functional and life testing of prototypes. I managed all aspects of the shop including: work prioritization, materials, tooling, machine maintenance, and procurement of new equipment.
