I love to create and make beautiful things that are interesting to look at. But at the same time, I like to communicate a point. Advertising has taught me that if it has a point and makes the viewer think about the idea/message longer than it took for them to look at it or read it than you have done a your job. I've been working in advertising for more than 9 years. While my specialty is advertising, stripped down it is truly about communicating which you have to do in all aspects of design.
