Product Development Asst. Deliverables: * Key involvement in performing market research to learn the latest market trends and consumer buying patterns to devise design specifications, designing concepts for different footwear range manufactured and marketed by the company. * Designing & development launch of major footwear ranges through market research and develop for consumer satisfaction assurance with knowledge and understanding of product management, branding functionality, aesthetics and engineering. I ensure that the color/material/trend align with overall brand creative direction and project deadlines. * Visualize ideas for products and ranges with clarity and Execute the creative vision in a product range for the category. * Creating the product designs according to portfolio requirements for regular production and management orders. * Execute design work according to the visual language of Relaxo (FLITE) as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines according to legal guidance. * Verbally present product ideas and details with clarity in small groups and team NPD meetings. * Facilitating material and cost estimates to the costing department, designing additional accessories such as logo labels and printed components, sole & strap printing, along with the footwear designs. * Performing the resistance and durability tests on the designs, Last development, developing sample moulds, and also reporting the periodic development status to the higher management. * Pattern development - Convey design intent while simultaneously developing upper patterns for maximum material yield, manufacturability, cost, fit and comfort and Tooling Development- from initial drawings through full size run commercialization. * Manage the development and commercialization process of assigned products in collaboration with technical teams. * Last Development - Work with Design Team and Last Maker (Vendors) * Tooling Development - Work with the Product Development Manager to develop from initial drawings through full size run commercialization. * Materials - Coordinate with Designers, and Materials Manager to select desired articles and qualify for confirmation at the component level by following required durability, quality and testing.
